U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that it successfully deployed enhanced ACE capabilities related to Entry Summary, Accounts and Revenue (ESAR) at 6:23 a.m. EDT on October 31, 2010.
CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing recent changes to the 2010 Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS Update No. 1005). This update contains 496 ABI records and 92 harmonized tariff records.

CBP has issued a memorandum announcing a special import quota of 15,105,052 kg for upland cotton that is provided for in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter III, U.S. Note 6 and is entered under HTS 9903.52.10. CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that FDA's OASIS Import System would be down for scheduled maintenance on October 30, 2010 starting at approximately 2:00 a.m. and was not anticipated to be back up until 6:00 a.m. As a result, FDA would be operating under the Prior Notice Scenario 2 contingency.
