This weekly summary report highlights the most active textile and apparel tariff preference levels1 from U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s “Quota Weekly Commodity Status Report.” The report also lists the TRQ commodities on CBP’s weekly “TRQ/TPL Threshold to Fill List.”
U.S. Customs and Border Protection is requesting comments on an information collection requirement concerning the declaration of compliance under the Haitian Hemispheric Opportunity through Partnership Encouragement Act of 2006. Comments are due by January 3, 2011.
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.
CBP has issued an Importation Advisory stating that mandarin oranges from Canada are banned from import into the U.S. A CBP official stated that CBP typically sees an influx of Christmas Oranges around the holiday season and when Canadian citizens’ travel to southern states for the winter, and the agency wanted to get the word out that these products are prohibited from being imported into the U.S.

CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF 1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances.

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that FDA's OASIS Import System would be down for scheduled maintenance on October 30, 2010 starting at approximately 2:00 a.m. and was not anticipated to be back up until 6:00 a.m. As a result, FDA would be operating under the Prior Notice Scenario 2 contingency.
