The Department of Labor has published its ninth annual report on its Findings of the Worst Forms of Child Labor for 2009, in accordance with the Trade and Development Act of 2000 (TDA).
At the December 20, 2010 fourth India-Russia Forum on Trade & Investment, officials from India and Russia discussed trade and cooperation in chemicals and fertilizers, industry, energy, etc. Among other things, both countries agreed on the need to facilitate the trade of goods, especially agriculture and animal products, and also called for necessary measures to be taken to enable export of meat products from India to Russia.
The State Department has approved fifteen new projects totaling $3.36 million in fiscal year 2010 anti-crime funds to enable U.S. law enforcement agencies and diplomatic missions to collaborate in the delivery of international enforcement training and technical assistance programs on intellectual property rights protection. The new projects involve foreign law enforcement partners in China, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and other nations in the Pacific Rim, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Africa.
