In the Nov. 3 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 55, No. 43), CBP published a proposal to revoke rulings on mechanically adjustable bed bases.
An uptick in food safety violations found in Australian meat products is minor, and does not raise larger concerns over the overall safety of Australia’s meat inspection system, an FSIS spokesperson said by email in response to a recent report from Food and Water Watch. The advocacy group had said an increase in “zero-tolerance” food safety issues found in random sampling by FSIS should lead to immediate revocation of Australia’s ability to export meat to the U.S. (see 2110270056).

Sunset Reviews of AD/CV Duties on Coated Paper, Steel Plate, Iron Castings, Etc. to Begin Next Month
The Commerce Department is giving advance notice that in automatic five-year sunset reviews next month it will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate from Austria (A-433-812), Belgium (A-423-812), Brazil (A-351-847), China (A-570-047), France (A-427-828), Germany (A-428-844), Italy (A-475-834), Japan (A-588-875), South Africa (A-791-822), South Korea (A-580-887), Taiwan (A-583-858) and Turkey (A-489-828); coated paper suitable for high-quality print graphics using sheet-fed presses from China (A-570-958) and Indonesia (A-560-823); heavy forged hand tools, with or without handles from China (A-570-803); iron construction castings from Brazil (A-351-503), Canada (A-122-503) and China (A-570-502); and stainless steel plate in coils from Belgium (A-423-808), South Africa (A-791-805) and Taiwan (A-583-830).
The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on seamless refined copper pipe and tube from Mexico (A-201-838) and China (A-570-964), and circular welded carbon quality steel pipe from Oman (A-523-812), Pakistan (A-535-903) and the United Arab Emirates (A-520-807).
In the Oct. 20 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 55, No. 41), CBP published a proposal to revoke rulings on unframed automotive side mirrors.
