The Commerce Department is giving advance notice that in automatic five-year sunset reviews scheduled to begin in March it will consider revoking the antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on aluminum extrusions from China (A-570-967/C-570-968) and stainless sheet and strip from China (A-570-042/C-570-043), as well as the antidumping duty orders pure magnesium from China (A-570-832), R-134 from China (A-570-044) and phosphorous copper from South Korea (A-580-085). These orders will be revoked unless Commerce finds that revocation would lead to dumping and the International Trade Commission finds that revocation would result in injury to U.S. industry, Commerce said in a notice published Feb. 1.
The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on ammonium sulfate from China (A-570-049/C-570-050), amorphous silica fabric from China (A-570-038/C-570-039), biaxial integral geogrid products from China (A-570-036/C-570-037) and off-the-road tires from India (A-533-869/C-533-870), as well as the antidumping duty order on artist canvas from China (A-570-899), Commerce said in a notice released Jan. 31.
A listing of recent Commerce Department antidumping and countervailing duty messages posted to CBP's website Jan. 26, along with the case number(s) and CBP message number, is provided below. The messages are available by searching for the listed CBP message number at CBP's ADD CVD Search page.
The International Trade Commission will proceed with full five-year sunset reviews of antidumping duty orders on chlorinated isocyanurates from China (A-570-898) and Spain (A-469-814). The reviews will determine whether revocation of the antidumping duty orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury for U.S. industry. The ITC found that U.S. domestic industry interest was sufficient to begin a third sunset review of both cases. The subject goods are derivatives of isocyanuric acid and are used as sanitizers, dishwashing detergents, bleaches and other disinfecting cleaners. The notice to be published Jan. 27 in the Federal Register said that the "schedule for the reviews will be established and announced at a later date."
In the Jan. 19 Customs Bulletin (Vol. 56, No. 2), CBP published a proposal to revoke rulings on solar modules and bandage cutting scissors.
