In the July 29 issue of the CBP Customs Bulletin (Vol. 49, No. 30) (here), CBP published notices that propose to revoke or modify rulings and similar treatment for the tariff classification of paper and nuts.
The Commerce Department is giving advance notice that next month it will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on chlorinated isocyanurates from China and Spain (A-570-898, A-469-814), and potassium permanganate from China (A-570-001), in automatic five-year sunset reviews scheduled to begin in September (here). Advance notice is given because sunset reviews have short deadlines. An order will be revoked unless Commerce finds that revocation would lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and the International Trade Commission finds that revocation would result in continuation or recurrence of material injury to a U.S. industry. As a result, a negative determination by either Commerce or the ITC would result in the revocation of these orders.
The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on magnesia carbon bricks from Mexico (A-201--837) and China (A-570-954/C-570-955), and narrow woven ribbons with woven selvedge from Taiwan (A-583-844) and China (A-570-952/C-570-953).
