The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission in January began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on magnesia carbon bricks from China and Mexico (A-570-954, A-201-837), and the countervailing duty order on magnesia carbon bricks from China (C-570-955) (see 2101040023). As a result of the determinations by both agencies that revocation of all of the orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping, net countervailable subsidies, and injury to a U.S. industry, Commerce is publishing a notice of continuation of these AD and CVD orders. Commerce is ordering the continuation of the orders, and instructs CBP to continue to collect AD and CVD duty cash deposits at the rates in effect at the time of entry for all imports of subject merchandise, effective Aug. 19.

The Commerce Department is giving advance notice that in automatic five-year sunset reviews in August it will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled steel flat products from Australia (A-602-809), Brazil (A-351-845), Japan (A-588-874), the Netherlands (A-421-813), South Korea (A-580-883), Turkey (A-489-826), the United Kingdom (A-412-825) and Russia (A-821-809), as well as the countervailing duty orders on hot-rolled steel flat products from Brazil (C-351-846) and South Korea (C-580-884) and the suspended antidumping duty investigation on lemon juice from Argentina (A-357-818). These orders will be revoked unless Commerce finds that revocation would lead to dumping and the International Trade Commission finds that revocation would result in injury to U.S. industry, Commerce said in a notice released July 30.
