The CBP modification of its forced labor finding on Top Glove imports from Malaysia followed several actions by the company to remedy forced labor indicators, the agency said Sept. 10. “CBP modified a Finding after thoroughly reviewing evidence that Top Glove has addressed all indicators of forced labor identified at its Malaysian facilities,” CBP Acting Commissioner Troy Miller said. “Top Glove’s actions in response to the Withhold Release Order, which include issuing more than $30 million in remediation payments to workers and improving labor and living conditions at the company’s facilities, suggest that CBP’s enforcement efforts provide a strong economic incentive for entities to eliminate forced labor from their supply chains.”

The Commerce Department is giving advance notice that in automatic five-year sunset reviews in October it will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on chlorinated isocyanurates from China (A-570-898) and Spain (A-469-814), as well as the antidumping and countervailing duty orders on welded stainless pressure pipe from India (A-533-867/C-533-868). These orders will be revoked unless Commerce finds that revocation would lead to dumping and the International Trade Commission finds that revocation would result in injury to U.S. industry, Commerce said in a notice released Sept. 1.
The Commerce Department and the International Trade Commission began five-year sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled steel flat products from Australia (A-602-809), Brazil (A-351-845), Japan (A-588-874), the Netherlands (A-421-813), South Korea (A-580-883), Turkey (A-489-826), the United Kingdom (A-412-825) and Russia (A-821-809), as well as the countervailing duty orders on hot-rolled steel flat products from Brazil (C-351-846) and South Korea (C-580-884) and the suspended antidumping duty investigation on lemon juice from Argentina (A-357-818).
FDA formally announced the revocation of emergency use authorizations for personal protective equipment and related products, as well as a COVID-19 test, in two notices released Aug. 30. Effective July 6, the FDA revoked its EUA for imported non-NIOSH approved filtering facepiece respirators manufactured in China, as well as for manufacturers and other stakeholders of imported non-NIOSH approved filtering facepiece respirators, FDA said. Effective June 30, FDA revoked 12 authorizations for decontamination systems for personal protective equipment and one authorization for a bioburden reduction system for personal protective equipment, it said. Finally, FDA also revoked its EUA for a Curative COVID diagnostic device, effective July 15, the agency said.
