U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of February 17, 2012.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued February 17 and 28, 2012 "Quota Weekly Commodity Status Reports" and a February 28, 2012 "Threshold to Fill" list, which signals that the problems the agency encountered with the installation of Windows 7 on certain computers were resolved.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection for the Miami International Airport has issued an Information Bulletin informing the trade of a new Pest Identification and Disposition Report, a local report that will provide the final disposition of quarantine cargo. This report will notify the trade community of the quarantine status of the plant pest (actionable or non-actionable), the final disposition of held cargo, and if the Emergency Action Notification (EAN)/Chain of Custody forms were issued and sent to the carrier. The report will only show final disposition - interceptions pending final determination will not be included in the report. The Bulletin states:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching their restraint limit or have filled their in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections: those that are at least 85% filled and those that are filled.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has reposted a 2008 Regulatory Audit1 document that provides general compliance information for importers claiming benefits under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program 2. The document informs importers of the basic requirements of the GSP program and provides guidance on how to begin to structure a system of internal controls that addresses the regulatory requirements for substantiating GSP claims.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued another CSMS message announcing that it is still accepting registrations for its March 6-8, 2012 seminar at the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) meeting in Arlington, VA that will cover programming changes for existing and new functionality scheduled to be delivered as part of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). The seminar will target ocean and rail software developers and ABI software developers. Presentations will focus on: (i) Changes to CAMIR and X12 message formats required for the deployment of ACE Ocean and Rail Manifest, mandatory ABI changes required for this deployment, and the decommissioning of the ACS Ocean and Rail Manifest system; and (ii) Current and future ACE deployments including ACE Entry Summary Filing, Post Summary Corrections, PGA Message Set, Document Image System, Simplified Entry/Cargo Release, and Export Manifest.
