WTO Committee on Customs Valuation Meets, Reviews Legislation Notifications of 37 Members
The World Trade Organization's Committee on Customs Valuation reviewed the first customs valuation legislation notifications of Guyana and Indonesia, plus notifications from 35 other organization members, at a formal meeting Nov. 10.

WTO said in a release that the committee also announced 94 members had responded to its checklist of interpretation issues concerning Article VII of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and 121 "had now notified their national legislation on customs valuation."
Further, the committee approved a report on improving the customs valuation notifications process, and it agreed to hold at least one information session on preshipment inspection -- private inspections of products prior to exportation.
The committee's next meeting is scheduled for May 8, 2026.
