EU Imposes AD Duties on Titanium Dioxide, Mobile Access Equipment From China

The European Commission imposed antidumping duties on titanium dioxide and mobile access equipment from China on Jan. 9.

The duties on titanium oxide range from 0.25 euro/kg to 0.74 euro/kg and follow an antidumping duty investigation that found that titanium dioxide shipments from China are injuring the EU industry. The duties include an exemption for imports used in the production of "printing inks," the Directorate-General for Trade said.

The duties on mobile access equipment range from 20.6% to 54.9% and also follow an AD investigation that found that dumping was causing "significant harm to producers of mobile access equipment in the EU." The products are used in the construction sector in the EU.
