CBP Renewing Vessel Cargo EEM Pilot Through May 2026

CBP is renewing its electronic export manifest pilot for vessel cargo through May 31, 2026, the agency said in a notice issued May 30. The two year extension will help the agency determine "whether electronic submission of manifests will allow for improvements in the functionality and capabilities at the departure level."

A CBP spokesperson earlier this month said the agency was preparing to extend the pilot (see 2405170042) which was last renewed for two years in 2022 before expiring April 27 (see 2204260042). The agency also recently renewed a separate EEM pilot for rail cargo (see 2405100036).
