Promoting Resilient Supply Chain Bill Passes House
A bill that would establish a critical supply chain resiliency and crisis response program in the Commerce Department passed in the House of Representatives May 15 on a 390-19 vote.

If the bill were to become law, the Commerce Department would need to, within 180 days, set up a program to map, monitor and model critical supply chains, including critical supply chains for emerging technologies. Within 270 days, that division would designate critical industries, critical supply chains and critical goods, and then solicit public comments on their choices. It would update the list at least every four years.
