CBP, Canon Partnering Against Counterfeit Goods

CBP and Canon USA announced a new partnership to help prevent counterfeit goods from entering the U.S., they said in separate news releases April 23. Canon, under CBP's Donations Acceptance Program (see 2401260026), will donate 328 verification tools to CBP cargo and mail facilities to "aid in authenticating a variety of Canon merchandise," CBP said.

The partnership will "greatly improve" CBP's trade enforcement operations, CBP Acting Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane Sabatino said.
