UK Updates Entries Under ISIL, North Korea Sanctions Regimes

The U.K. amended various entries under its ISIL (Da'esh) and al-Qaida and North Korea sanctions regimes in a pair of Jan. 8 notices.

Under the ISIL restrictions list, the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation amended the entries for five people -- Habib Ben Ahmed Al-Loubiri, Hafiz Abdul Salam Bhuttavi, Maulana Fazlullah, Noor Wali Mehsud and Hafiz Muhammad Saeed -- and two entities -- Al Rashid Trust and Khatiba Imam Al-Bukhari. Many of the people are leaders of Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan.

Under the North Korea sanctions regime, OFSI amended the entries for the Academy of National Defense Science and General Bureau of Atomic Energy to update references to them.
