Duguid, a “plethora” of courts have attempted to interpret the definition of an automatic telephone dialing system under the TCPA in the “context” of Facebook’s holding, said Trim’s Nov. 6 petition (see 2311140002). “The result has been nothing short of a mess,” and Trim’s case gives SCOTUS the “perfect opportunity” to clean it up, it said.
