UK Amends Entries Under Iran, Russia Sanctions Lists

The U.K.'s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation on Dec. 18 amended entries under its Russia and Iran sanctions regimes.

Under the Russia restrictions, OFSI updated the entries for Alexander Borisovich Arutyunov, member of the board of directors at Joint-Stock Company Aero-Engine Scientific and Technical Complex "Soyuz," and Sergei Sergeevich Tregub, an associate of another sanctioned party, Sergei Vadimovich Tregub.

Under the Iran sanctions regime, OFSI amended the listings for Mohammad Rostami Chesme Gachi, head of the Iranian morality police; Seyyed Mohamed Saleh Hashemi Golpayegani, head of the Iranian headquarters for enjoining right and forbidding evil; Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij Organization of the Islamic Revoluntionary Guard Corps.
