Non-EU Countries Align With Sanctions Moves Under Anti-Terrorism, Ukraine and Syria Lists
A group of European countries not in the EU aligned with recent sanctions decisions from the European Council under the lists of parties subject to restrictions to combat terrorism and threatening the sovereignty of Ukraine, along with the Syria sanctions regime.

On July 20, the council added five Iranian individuals to the list for threatening Ukraine due to their involvement in the delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia. North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway aligned with the decision.
The same day, the council also added Iranian individuals to the Syria sanctions regime for delivering air defense systems to Syria. The countries of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway also imposed the decision, the council said Aug. 4.
Under the sanctions regime meant to combat terrorism, the council adjusted the list of individuals and entities subject to the restrictions. The countries of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Liechtenstein aligned with the move.
