USMCA Deputies Talk Forced Labor Prohibition
In a joint statement after the second annual deputies' meeting for the NAFTA successor, U.S., Mexican and Canadian officials said they talked about the concrete steps needed to ensure that goods made with forced labor cannot be imported into Mexico, Canada or the U.S.

They said they also reviewed the work of USMCA/CUSMA/T-MEC committees (each country has a different name for the trade pact), and gave them direction for future work. They said they particularly focused on agricultural trade, agricultural biotechnology, the environment, competitiveness, origin verification, private commercial disputes, state-owned enterprises, temporary entry, trade facilitation, trade in goods, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
