The investigations follow two Sept. 12 complaints by Daedalus Prime (see 2209160021), the first of which alleged that Samsung and Qualcomm manufacture and import smartphones that infringe four Daedalus patents related to integrated circuits, system-on-chips, and central and/or graphics processing units. The second complaint alleged that Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) violate four Daedalus patents related to semiconductor devices and fabrication methods. In both cases, Daedalus has asked the ITC for a limited exclusion order and cease and desist orders.
