The investigation follows an Aug. 19 complaint by Manufacturing Resources International, which alleged infringement on five of MRI's patents by Samsung, Coates and Palmer Digital Group (see 2208250019). The patents concern cooling systems for electronic displays used in outdoor kiosks. Samsung's OH Series, Coates' ODMB Single Panel Menu Board and Palmer's Kiosks allegedly incorporate infringing technology, MRI said. MRI asked ITC for a limited exclusion order excluding outdoor and semi-outdoor electronic displays from entry, as well as cease and desist orders against the named respondents.
