The $48 billion in broadband money in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act Congress designated NTIA to distribute means the agency “now has a unique opportunity to spearhead significant progress in bridging the digital divide, so everyone can reliably connect to high-speed, affordable, and reliable internet, no matter their income or zip code,” said House Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, D-N.J., and Communications Chairman Mike Doyle, D-Pa. “We’re eager to hear from” Davidson “about NTIA’s role in coordinating this historic effort, how the agency is working with its federal agency partners, and more.” The virtual hearing will begin at noon EST.
