OFAC Removes Iranian Entity, Subsidiary From SDN List

The Office of Foreign Assets Control on Oct. 8 removed Iran-based Mammut Industrial Group, its subsidiary Mammut Diesel and their aliases from the Specially Designated Nationals List. The entities, which produced and supplied military-grade, dual-use goods for Iran’s missile programs, were sanctioned in September 2020.

The removals don't “reflect any change” in U.S. sanctions policy toward Iran and are unrelated to U.S. efforts to rejoin the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (see 2106240044), a Treasury spokesperson said. “The United States will continue to counter Iran’s destabilizing activities,” the spokesperson said, “including through implementation of our sanctions.”
