The Commerce Department issued its final determinations in the antidumping duty investigations on seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe from South Korea (A-580-909), Russia (A-821-826) and Ukraine (A-823-819). Changes to cash deposit requirements set in these final determinations take effect July 2, the date they are scheduled for publication in the Federal Register.

The next step is for the International Trade Commission to make its final injury determination, currently scheduled for Aug. 9, according to a Commerce fact sheet. If the ITC finds injury, Commerce will issue an AD duty order and duties will be made permanent. If the ITC finds no injury, the investigation will be terminated and all cash deposits will be refunded.

Commerce is also issuing its final determinations in the concurrent CV duty investigations on seamless pipe from South Korea and Russia, setting CV rates at 1.78% for South Korean exporters, and 48.38% for Russian exporters, though CV duty cash deposit requirements are on hold as of April 10 pending the ITC's final injury determination (see 2107010024). Commerce also issued an AD duty order on the Czech Republic in April (see 2104230036).
