  • CBSA issues statement of reasons for expiry review determination on refined sugar. The Canada Border Services Agency on March 16 issued its Statement of Reasons for its expiry review determination with respect to the dumping of refined sugar originating in or exported from the United States, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and the subsidizing of refined sugar originating in or exported from the European Union. CBSA determined March 1 that the expiration of the orders made by the Canadian International Trade Tribunal in 2015 on the subject goods is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the subject goods originating in or exported from the listed countries, and the continuation or resumption of subsidizing of the subject goods from the EU.
