  • CBSA preliminary determination regarding certain concrete reinforcing bar. The Canada Border Services Agency on March 4 issued a preliminary determination of dumping respecting certain concrete reinforcing bar from Oman and Russia. Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods from Oman and Russia released from the CBSA on or after March 4, 2021. A Statement of Reasons in the case will be available by March 19.
  • Passover Products Remission Order revision. The Canada Border Services Agency on March 4 revised Memorandum D8-3-6 with the addition of an Appendix to provide the Passover holiday dates for 2020 through 2030. The original memorandum outlines the conditions under which certain products imported for use during the Passover holiday qualify for customs duty-free entry. It also sets out the procedures to follow to import customs duty-free Kosher for Passover margarine. Another revision provides additional information on the eligibility of goods for relief of sales taxes under the Passover Products Remission Order.
  • Product Recall: U.S. versions of CHEM C1000 and Chemistry C500 science experiment kits manufactured in Germany recalled, for lack of Canadian bilingual warning statement labels.
