  • Canada Grain Act amendments implemented for 2020-21 crop year as CUSMA comes into effect. The Canadian Grain Commission advised it is implementing amendments to the Canada Grain Act and Canada Grain Regulations as the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) comes into effect on July 1. Grain grown in the United States will be able to receive an official Canadian grade if it is a variety registered in Canada, and will no longer require a country of origin statement on inspection certificates. It also will be mandatory for those people, including licensed grain companies, selling grain to a Canadian Grain Commission licensee to complete a declaration of eligibility.
  • Product Recalls: Becca Light Shifter Brightening Concealer manufactured in the United States recalled, for potential mold contamination; Kinderfeets Pram 2-in-1 Walker toy manufactured in China recalled, for choking hazard.
