  • Opening of the Application Period for the Dairy Export Thresholds under CUSMA. Global Affair Canada has issued a message to industry advising that as a result of Canada’s ratification of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), two new CUSMA export thresholds for Skim milk powder, milk protein concentrate and Infant formula (made of over 10% cow’s milk solids on a dry weight basis) will be effective June 3, 2020.   • Canadian international merchandise trade for April 2020. Statistics Canada is reporting that exports fell 29.7% to $32.7 billion while imports were 25.1% to $35 billion in April. Canada’s merchandise trade deficit with the world widened from $1.5 billion in March to $3.3 billion in April. (here)
