  • CBSA concludes normal value and export price review for large diameter carbon and alloy steel line pipe. The CBSA has concluded its normal value and export price review of certain welded large diameter carbon and alloy steel line pipe exported from Japan to Canada by Sumitomo Corporation. The review is part of CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal finding of injury issued on October 20, 2016, respecting the dumping of large line pipe from Japan. (here)
  • United States surtax remission order. The CBSA has issued Customs Notice 18-16 which provides information on the introduction and application of the United States Surtax Remission Order, 2018-1272, which is intended to minimize the negative effects of the surtaxes on Canadian companies and the economy by providing relief in exceptional situations.
