  • Canadian international merchandise trade in October 2019. Statistics Canada reported Dec. 5 that Canada's exports rose 0.8% in October, while imports increased 0.5%, mainly on higher imports of energy products. As a result, Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world narrowed slightly, from $1.2 billion in September to $1.1 billion in October.
  • Product Recalls: Pelican 9410 and 9415 Industrial Flashlights and Battery Packs manufactured in the United States recalled, for risk of explosion of the NiMh battery packs while charging; Surly Bicycle Racks manufactured in Taiwan recalled, for crash or injury hazard; Bendable Snowman 3 Pack manufactured in Hong Kong recalled, for injury hazard; DaVinci Bailey Bassinet manufactured in Taiwan recalled, for fall hazard.
