Appeals of CIT Decisions
The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Aug. 19-25:
Echostar Technologies LLC, appealing a June 17 CIT decision that upheld the denial by CBP of more than $276,275.12 in drawback claims from a video technology importer and exporter as untimely. CIT found that, under CBP’s now-defunct 1993 drawback regulations, the date of filing is when a complete paper claim has been submitted, not when the electronic summary is transmitted (see 1906180031). #19-2299.
