Grassley said he has not talked with Rep. Cindy Axne or Rep. Abby Finkenauer, two freshman Democrats from his state. "The only person I talk to would be [Dave] Loebsack, we were kind of having small talk at the state fair and that didn’t come up," he said.

Grassley said since former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, a Democrat, is touting how important it is to ratify the NAFTA replacement, "why would they have any questions about supporting it?" He also said since Axne and Finkenauer are running for re-election, and the deal "is highly popular in Iowa," they should be voting yes.
