  • CBSA begins re-investigation of prices of certain copper pipe fittings. The Canada Border Services Agency on Jan. 31 initiated a re-investigation to update the normal values and export prices, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act, with respect to certain copper pipe fittings from the United States, South Korea and China and the amounts of subsidy of certain copper pipe fittings from China. The re-investigation is part of the ongoing enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s findings of material injury issued on Feb. 19, 2007, and continued, without amendment, by order dated Feb. 17, 2012, and continued, with amendment, by order dated Nov. 28, 2016. CBSA anticipates concluding the re-investigation by May 31, 2019.
  • CBSA issues statement of reasons in carbon steel welded pipe investigation. The Canada Border Services Agency on Jan. 31 issued its Statement of Reasons concerning the termination of the dumping investigation of carbon steel welded pipe exported from Turkey by Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayii ve Ticaret A.S. (see 1901210001) and the final determination with respect to the dumping of carbon steel welded pipe from Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey and Vietnam (see 1810190001).
  • Product Recalls: Kuobta Canada LTD. recalls zero turn mowers manufactured in the United States, for potential failure of rollover protective structure.
