Danyang Weiwang Tools Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Chengdu Huifeng New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and Quanzhou Zhongzhi Diamond Tools Co., Ltd., challenging the Commerce Department's final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on diamond sawblades from China covering entries in 2016-17. #19-00006. Filed Jan. 14.

Kehoe Component Sales, Inc., on the classification of heat blanket controllers. CBP classified the merchandise under Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheading 8537.10.9070 (2.7%). Kehoe says it should instead have been classified under subheading 9032.89.6085 (1.7%). #19-00007. Filed Jan. 17.

Textiles from Europe, on the classification of a bedding assortment in a reusable PVC storage bag. CBP classified the merchandise under Harmonized Tariff Schedule subheading 9404.90.8522, dutiable at 12.8%. Textiles from Europe says it should have been classified under subheadings 9404.90.8522 (12.8%), 6303.92.2050 (11.3%), 6304.93.0000 (9.3%), 9404.90.2000 (6%) and 3924.90.5650 (3.4%). #19-00008. MedTrade Inc., Transpacific Steel LLC and A.G. Royce Metal Marketing LLC, challenging an Aug. 10 presidential proclamation increasing to 50% the Section 232 tariffs on steel from Turkey (see 1808120001). #19-00009. Filed Jan. 17.

Carbon Activated Corporation, challenging CBP's liquidation of an entry of activated carbon that already should have been deemed liquidated. #19-00010. Filed Jan. 17.

Smith-Cooper International, Inc., challenging a Commerce scope ruling it says was issued Dec. 20 that found its Cooplet weld outlets are subject to antidumping duties on carbon steel butt-weld pipe fittings from China. #19-00011. Filed Jan. 18.

Worldwide Door Components, Inc., challenging a Commerce scope ruling issued Dec. 19 that found its door thresholds are subject to antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China (see 1901150033). #19-00012. Filed Jan. 18.

Columbia Aluminum Products LLC, challenging a Dec. 19 Commerce scope ruling (see case above) that also found its door thresholds are subject to antidumping and countervailing duties on aluminum extrusions from China. #19-00013. Filed Jan. 18.

Tate & Lyle, challenging Commerce's final results of the antidumping duty administrative review on xanthan gum from China covering entries in 2016-17. #19-00014. Filed Jan. 18.

​Appeals of CIT Decisions

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Jan. 14-20:

New Mexico Garlic Growers, appealing a CIT decision issued Nov. 26 that sustained Commerce's decision to rescind an antidumping duty administrative review on fresh garlic from China for Harmoni International without any change to that company's AD duty rate. #19-1404. Opened Jan. 14.

Zhongce Rubber Group Company Limited, appealing a Nov. 20 CIT decision that dismissed its challenge of the 119.46% duty rate assigned to it in Commerce's 2014-15 countervailing duty administrative review on passenger vehicle and light truck tires from China. #19-1421. Opened Jan. 16.
