  • Government to invest in greenhouse sector. Minister of Agriculture Lawrence MacAulay joined members of Parliament Chris Bittle and Vance Badawey, both representing districts in the Niagara region of Ontario, Nov. 26 at the Vineland Research and Innovation Center in Vineland Station, Ontario, to announce a federal investment to boost Canada’s greenhouse sector.
  • Redetermination and appeals under SIMA. Canada Border Services Agency Memorandum D14-1-3 outlines and explains the procedures to request re-determinations and file appeals under the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA). It was updated Oct. 16 to add re-determinations for the purpose of applying a scope ruling.
  • Product Recalls: Canadian Tire recalls Mastercraft 5 Gallon Air Compressor manufactured in China, for injury hazard.
