- CITT initiates final injury inquiry for steel welded pipe. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated on Oct. 19 an inquiry to determine whether the dumping of carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkey and Vietnam has caused injury or retardation or is threatening to cause injury to the domestic industry. The inquiry was initiated following notice from the Canada Border Services Agency stating that a preliminary determination had been made with respect to the dumping of the above-mentioned goods. CITT will issue its determination on Feb. 15, 2019.
- Product Recalls: Crate and Barrel Canada Inc. recalls Josephine floor mirrors manufactured in Mexico, for laceration hazard; Dollarama recalls Craft Dough toys manufactured in China, for incorrect labeling as gluten-free; Core Health & Fitness recalls Stairmaster 8G Gauntlet Stepmill Machines manufactured in China, for fall hazard.
