  • Telephone reporting for general aviation and private boats. The Canada Border Services Agency issued a revision Sept. 26 to Memorandum D2-5-12, which outlines the telephone reporting procedures that general aviation and private boat operators use to report to the agency when entering Canada. The revision includes expanding the memorandum to include guidelines and requirements related to CBSA services at a fixed base operator and the requirements for a telephone reporting site/marine.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2018 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: General Finishes recalls Outdoor Oil manufactured in the United States, for health hazard due to improper labeling for chemical hazard; Boy Story LLC recalls action dolls manufactured in China, for choking hazard; IKEA Canada recalls CALYPSO ceiling lamps manufactured in China, for impact injury hazard.
