  • Canada’s international security transactions for March 2018. Statistics Canada reports that foreign investment in Canadian securities amounted to $6.1 billion in March, while Canadian investors reduced their holdings of foreign securities by $1.9 billion.
  • Importation of Vehicles, Engines, Vessels and Machines. The Canada Border Services Agency on May 15 issued Memorandum D19-7-4, to reflect requirements for the importation of vehicles, engines, vessels and machines, as outlined in the Canadian Environmental Protection Act 1999 and its regulations.
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2016 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Dollarama L.P. recalls Oball Rollin' Rainstick and Oball 2-IN-1 Roller manufactured in China, for choking hazard; The Michaels Companies Inc. recalls Creatology Pottery Wheel Kit and Creatology Spin Art Kit manufactured in China, for fire and burn hazards; Alumilite recalls Amazing Clear Cast manufactured in the United States, for improper chemical hazard packaging and labeling; Fireplace Products International Ltd. (FPI) recalls Regency Ultimate U37 and U39 Direct Vent Gas Stove Fireplaces manufactured in Canada, for laceration hazard; The Michaels Companies Inc. recalls 3-Tier Haunted Townhouse candle holder manufactured in China, for fire and burn hazards; NY Thermal Inc. (NTI) recalls Trinity Tft gas-fired hot water boilers manufactured in Canada, for carbon monoxide exposure risk.
