CCC Opens Application Period for Ag Export Promotion Funds

The Commodity Credit Corporation is accepting applications for programs designed to promote U.S. agricultural exports. Applications may be submitted by June 18 for fiscal year 2019 funding under the following programs administered by the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS):

Timely, relevant coverage of court proceedings and agency rulings involving tariffs, classification, valuation, origin and antidumping and countervailing duties. Emerging Markets Program. Assists U.S. entities in developing, maintaining or expanding exports of U.S. agricultural commodities and products by funding activities that improve emerging markets’ food and rural business systems, including reducing potential trade barriers in such markets (here).

Foreign Market Development Cooperator. The FAS enters into agreements to share the cost of certain overseas marketing and promotion activities with eligible non-profit U.S. trade organizations (here).

Market Access Program. The CCC enters into agreements with government agencies and trade associations to share the cost of certain overseas marketing and promotion activities (here).

Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops. Funds projects that address sanitary, phytosanitary or related technical barriers to trade that prohibit or threaten the export of U.S. specialty crops (here).

Quality Samples Program. Helps U.S. entities provide commodity samples to potential foreign importers (here).

In each notice, the CCC said funds will be awarded in February 2019.
