  • Canada’s merchandise trade for March 2018. Statistics Canada reports that Canada's imports rose 6% to a record $51.7 billion in March, while exports also increased, 3.7% to $47.6 billion. As a result, Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world widened from $2.9 billion in February to a record $4.1 billion in March.
  • Product Recalls: Gander Wholesales recalls Magnetic Putty manufactured in China, for arsenic toxicity hazard; expanded recall of Shakeel Bhai Mehndi Waley-Bridal Special Henna Cone products manufactured in Pakistan, for chemical burn to skin hazard; The Genuine Canadian Corporation recalls Carter’s Penguin Cardigan Set manufactured in China, for choking hazard; Papyrus-Recycled Greetings Canada Ltd. recalls "Diaper Loading" greeting card manufactured in China, for eye injury hazard.
