  • International merchandise trade for February. Statistics Canada reports that Canada's merchandise trade deficit totaled $2.7 billion in February 2018, widening from a $1.9 billion deficit in January. Imports rose 1.9%, mainly due to higher imports of energy products. Exports increased 0.4%, primarily on higher exports of passenger cars and light trucks.
  • Product Recalls: 3M Canada recalls 3M Scotch thermal laminator manufactured in China, for burn hazard; Walmart Canada Corp. recalls blackweb power banks manufactured in China, for fire and burn hazards; JRC Toys recalls Toybox Early Learning Centre Click Toys manufactured in the United States, for choking hazard; Dollar Tree Canada recalls plush bunnies manufactured in China, for choking hazard.
