Canadian Government Notices as of March 21
The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of March 21 (some may also be given separate headlines):

- First round of negotiations with Mercosur countries. Minister of International Trade François-Philippe Champagne is working on a comprehensive Canada-Mercosur free trade agreement, with the first round of negotiations taking place in Ottawa March 20-23 (see 1802260001). A trade deal with Mercosur -- a trading bloc comprising Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay -- is among priorities for Canada's progressive trade agenda. A comprehensive FTA, could, for example, "reduce the tariffs of up to 35% that currently apply to Canadian forestry, automotive and chemical-plastic products," Global Affairs Canada said in a news release.
- Product Recalls: Briggs & Stratton Corporation recalls various riding lawn mowers manufactured in the United States, for injury risk to operator and bystanders.
