Canadian Government Notices as of Feb. 23
The government of Canada recently issued the following trade-related notices as of Feb. 23 (some may also be given separate headlines):

- Canadian officials to attend governors meeting in Washington. Scott Brison, president of the Treasury Board, and Andrew Leslie, parliamentary secretary to the minister of foreign affairs, are in Washington, D.C., Feb. 23-24 to attend the National Governors Association Winter Meeting. The Canadian contingent will take advantage of the opportunity to talk with U.S. governors attending the meeting about Canada-U.S. trade, "and to underscore the importance of Canadian trade to their states. It is also an opportunity to discuss the benefits of further regulatory cooperation between the two nations," an official release said.
- Temporary importation of baggage and conveyances by non-residents. The Canada Border Services Agency on Feb. 21 issued Memorandum D2-1-1, an update to clarify the conditions of eligibility to Tariff Item No. 9803.00.00 and update the number of form CBSA Report from E99 to BSF375.
- Casual importations. The Canada Border Services Agency on Feb. 20 issued Memorandum D17-1-3, an update to amend paragraph 1(e) to clarify the processing related to goods and conveyances imported into Canada and classified under Tariff Number 9803.00.00.
