  • CITT findings for stainless steel sinks from China. The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced Feb. 8 that it continued its 2012 finding that the dumping and subsidizing of stainless steel sinks from China are likely to result in injury. The Canada Border Services Agency will therefore continue to impose antidumping and countervailing duties on these products.
  • Price Reductions (formerly Discounts). The Canada Border Services Agency reissued Memorandum D13-4-10 to explain its "revised policy on the treatment of reductions to the price paid or payable, which result from agreements in writing that are in effect at the time goods are imported to Canada."
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2018 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Walmart Canada Corp. recalls Rock Solo Karaoke Microphone & Speaker manufactured in China, for burn and injury hazards; Fujitsu Canada Inc. recalls Panasonic Battery Packs used in certain Fujitsu personal computers manufactured in China, for burn and fire hazards.
