  • Agricultural benefits from Trans-Pacific Partnership. Minister of Agriculture Lawrence MacAulay and Minister of International Trade François-Philippe Champagne issued a statement on the successful conclusion of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) (see 1801230059): “It will give the Canadian agricultural industry preferential access to all CPTPP countries and will provide new market access opportunities for a wide range of Canadian products, including meat, grains, pulses, maple syrup, wines and spirits, seafood and agri-food products.”
  • NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2018 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
  • Product Recalls: Honda Canada Inc. recalls Honda Portable Generator manufactured in the United States, for burn and fire hazards.
