Midwest-CBK, LLC , on CBP's liquidation of its entries of giftware, housewares and decorative items. Midwest-CBK says the entries were untimely liquidated, and that CBP improperly rejected deductive value as a method of appraisement. #17-00272. Filed Nov. 21.

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of Nov. 20-26:

Home Depot U.S.A., challenging a Sept. 21 CIT decision that found its door hardware with knobs that incorporate locks classifiable as locks of subheading 8301.40.6030, dutiable at 5.7%, rather than as mountings and fittings for doors of subheading 8302.41.6045, dutiable at 3.9% (see 1709220036). #18-1206. Opened Nov. 20.

Irwin Industrial Tool Co., challenging a Sept. 21 CIT decision that found its locking pliers classifiable as pliers of subheading 8203.20.60, dutiable at 12 cents per dozen plus 5.5 percent, rather than as vises of subheading 8205.70.0060, dutiable at 5 percent (see 1709210048). #18-1215.
