  • Canadian railway freight volume grows 3.2% in August. Statistics Canada announced that railway freight carried in Canada totaled 30.8 million tons in August 2017, up 3.2% compared with the year-ago month.
  • CBSA initiates investigations of copper pipe fittings from Vietnam. The Canada Border Services Agency announced it initiated investigations on Oct. 27 under the Special Import Measures Act with respect to the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain copper pipe fittings originating in or exported from Vietnam. The investigations follow a complaint filed by Cello Products Inc.
