- Proposal to add Japan and Mexico to the AFCCL. The Government of Canada is inviting industry stakeholders and the general public to provide their views regarding a possible regulatory amendment that could result in the addition of Japan and Mexico to the Automatic Firearms Country Control List (AFCCL). If the proposed regulation were to be approved by the Governor in Council, it would allow exporters of certain prohibited firearms, prohibited weapons and prohibited devices to submit permit applications for the export of these items to Japan and Mexico. Comments are due by Nov. 13.
- Taiwan carbon steel welded pipe: Dumping statement of reasons. The Canada Border Services Agency has continued the final determination of dumping with respect to certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan with the following amendments: the CBSA terminated the dumping investigation regarding certain carbon steel welded pipe exported to Canada by Chung Hung Steel Corporation and Shin Yang Steel Co. Ltd.; and revised the margins of dumping of certain carbon steel welded pipe originating in or exported from Taiwan determined for all other exporters.
