- Minister of International Trade gives speech on advantages of market diversification. Minister of International Trade Francois-Philippe Champagne was in Montreal, Quebec, Sept. 29 to give a speech at the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations (CORIM) about the advantages of trade diversification. During his speech he stressed the importance of Canada’s global approach to trade and how it will create more market opportunities for Canadian businesses to grow and expand overseas.
- NAFTA textile/apparel TPL utilization. The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade updated the 2017 NAFTA textile and apparel tariff preference level utilization rate for imports and exports.
- Product Recalls: Rhode Island Novelty recalls 6-inch Black & Gold Tinsel Boa manufactured in China, for fire and burn hazards; Skip Hop recalls Nightlight Soother adapters manufactured in China, for electric shock hazard.
