- MacAulay to promote agricultural trade at NASDA annual meeting. Minister of Agriculture Lawrence MacAulay traveled last week to New Orleans to give a keynote address at the U.S. National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) annual meeting. He addressed how Canada and the United States can strengthen their robust agricultural partnership and ensure continued support for millions of trade-dependent middle-class jobs on both sides of the border.
- Wheat products tariff rate quota released. Global Affairs Canada has announced the 2017-2018 wheat products tariff rate quota will be filled as of 11:59 p.m. local time on Oct. 13, 2017.
- China: Certain stainless steel sinks. The Canada Border Services Agency has issued its statement of reasons concerning the expiry review determination regarding certain stainless steel sinks originating in or exported from China and has found that it is likely to result in the resumption of dumping and subsidizing of this product.
